About

Who We Are

Since its inception in 1992, the Coastside Families Club has provided support and a social network for families along the San Mateo Coast, from Montara to Pescadero.

The club is an all-volunteer organization. Each Board Member has a unique role, from planning kids' social activities and organizing community fundraising drives to coordinating fabulous speakers and informing members of educational opportunities. We welcome all levels of participation from our members, whether you simply join our newsletter mailing list or become a Board member.

Because we are a 501(c)(7) social club, we must adhere to guidelines that limit the funds we can receive from non-club members, including funds from advertising. We regret that we are unable to offer advertising to so many of our community friends. If you are interested in donating a product or service, please email president@coastsidemothersclub.org.

Our Values

Inclusivity and Welcome We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming community for everyone raising children on the Coast. Embracing our "the more the merrier" philosophy, we believe that diverse perspectives and backgrounds enrich our community. We strive to establish open communication channels, organize diverse events, and lower barriers for all families wishing to participate.

Simplicity and Accessibility Our goal is to make life easier for our members. We aim to provide information and resources that are simple, accessible, and clear.

Community Improvement We are dedicated to improving our community as a whole. Valuing connection and camaraderie, we recognize the importance of supporting one another in the vital task of raising children; it takes a village to raise a child! We also cherish our greater coastside community and strive to make a significant impact by supporting local groups and nonprofits.

CFC thrives on your active participation and the spirit of community.  We engage with one another through the lens of compassion and kindness, as these values are the foundation of our community. This is a reminder that under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(7) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Our club is  a source of friendship and togetherness even in divisive times.
